The collection consists of 40 tapes, each with unique recordings made in the 70s during Sabałowe Bajania – a Poland-wide festival of polish folklore with storytellers, instrumentalists and vocalists contests held every year in August in Bukowina Tatrzańska. On the recordings we can hear the performances of contestants: highlanders bands and groups e.g. „Romanka” from Sopotnia Mała, „Elegia” from Rudnik and a couple of smaller groups (e.g. the duet from Kościelisko and Tylmanowa playing the pipes) as well as solists like Stanisław Trebunia (złóbcoki), singer Józefa Malec, storyteller Alojzy Śmiech and Eugeniusz Wilczek (złóbcoki). Góralski Carnival happening from 5th to 7th of February 1982 and Herody stagings were also recorded.
