The collection includes Stanisław Woźnica’s private recordings, made within the field works near Mińsk Mazowiecki that had been carried out since 1962. The first stage of the research (1962-1964) was writing the melody by ear. The second stage was much more efficient due to National Panasonic Cassette Recorder and Unitra Automatic MK 433 that Stanisław Woźnica possesed. The recordings become a base sources for Woźnica’s master’s thesis.

On the tapes we can hear only vocal performances. Some of the performers were: Stefania Bąkowa, Józefa Woźnica, Ludwika Skuza, Barbara Zielińska, Mariana Zgudka and many others. Unfortunately, not all of Stanisław Woźnica’s recordings exist today. 

The other important part of the collection includes the recordings of Woxnica’s wedding band – Mińska Kapela Małego Stasia. Therefore, typical repertoire for folk weddings and 80s parties is immortalized on a few cassetes. Stanisław Woźnica’s documentation has been digitalized and developed by Piotr Dorosz within the Polish folk music – phonographic heritage project.
