Ethnographer and folklorist Wanda Księżopolska’s impressive private collection consists of 587 numbered cassette tapes. They include recordings of singers and musicians realized between 1980s and late 1990s. The recordings have been made during field works (during personal meeting with performers in their houses) and many regional events, such as  gatherings, contests and festivals, carried out by Ksieżopolska.

The repertoire includes i.a.: popular songs, legends, religious tales (i.e. recording series of Przy źródełku events when various devotional histories and songs were performed) and ritual repertoire. Instrumental reordings include i.a. performance of Stanisław Ptasiński’s ensemle from Wielgolas and many others famous regional bands.Wanda Ksieżopolska’s documentation has been digitalized and developed by Piotr Dorosz within the Polish folk music – phonographic heritage project.
